Please note this exclusion:
Members of EREPS work to a Code of Ethical Practice that establishes the rights, responsibilities and principles of practising as an exercise professional. There are two specific principles in the Code that require exercise professionals to work within their areas of competency when instructing and training their clients and which apply in the way that the EREPS liability insurance scheme operates. Exercise professionals should have:
- An understanding of their legal responsibilities and accountability when dealing with the public and awareness of the need for honesty and accuracy in substantiating their claims of authenticity when promoting their services in the public domain
- A responsible attitude to the care and safety of client participants within the training environment and in planned activities ensuring that both are appropriate to the needs of the clients
This is a specific exclusion to the EREPS insurance policy:
EREPS liability insurance does not cover activities for the training of clients and customers where they are suspended or elevated above the floor and where all four limbs are out of contact with the ground at any one time. An example of this is pole dancing and is excluded from EREPS cover.
