This course is aimed at sports professionals, trainers, fitness instructors, coaches, and teachers who want to learn how to improve flexibility training by incorporating safe, effective demonstrations of stretching and flexibility training techniques and using Functional Flexibility to improve performance and injury prevention.

Learning Outcomes:

The L&S_1 FOUNDATIONS course is aimed at all levels of training and education for coaches and professionals interested in developing an effective and safe approach to stretching and functional flexibility for improved health, wellbeing, and athletic performance. Students are taught a safe and effective approach to functional flexibility training that can be implemented into their existing practice. The course and assessment at this level aim to develop technique for personal practice, understand the basic principles of functional flexibility and create a baseline for correct demonstration in leadership positions in preparation for our more advanced Functional Flexibility specialisation course (L&S_3).

This course includes three theory quizzes: Flexibility Training Principles, Flexibility Demonstrations, Leading Others. It also includes a practical assessments that include a before/after progress review and preparation to teach and lead others using the L&S Stretching & Myofascial Release techniques.
