The aim of this course is to provide the learner with comprehensive and science-based theory as well as practical understanding from an online coaching perspective on how to support a clients' quality and duration of sleep.
The course will teach the learner the science behind sleep, how to assess and support a client in their sleep journey, as well as how to create personalized sleep plans. As a part of this, the learner will gain a thorough understanding of how to use evidence-based strategies to help clients improve their sleep quality and duration, and which behaviors to avoid.
The course learning style is asynchronous learning, meaning the learner may learn on their own schedule, within a certain timeframe.
The course has been created by Lenus ehealth with Jason Howlett, a holistic lifestyle coach, as the subject matter expert and content provider.
Learning Outcomes:
Learning objective: The learner will be introduced to the importance and impact of sleep on health and wellbeing. In this section, the learner will understand what good sleep looks like. The learner will also be presented with a summary of how sleep positively impacts other coaching interventions such as nutrition and exercise while providing coaches with a greater capacity for change.

Learning objective: To understand the mechanisms that regulate our sleep which include the Circadian Rhythm, the amount of stress we experience and the adenosine build-up process.

The learner will be introduced to how to choose exercises based on their client’s goals, preferences and stage of life.
