Overall the course emphasises educating on the crucial aspects of holistic health and their relevance in creating healthier and happier lives.
The course learning style is asynchronous learning, meaning the learner may learn on their own schedule, within a certain timeframe.
The content for this course was created by Dr. Imran Rashid, the director of Health Innovation at Lenus with contributions from the rest of the Lenus Health Innovation team.
Learning Outcomes:
Part I - The Historical
Evolution of Health
The first part of the course provides a brief introduction to the historical evolution of health. This section is an essential starting point for providing perspective on the rest of the course. The development and progress of health concepts and practices over time, as well as the evolution of our ways of living is crucial to understand the development of a holistic health perspective.
Part II - What is holistic health?
In this part of the course the learner will be introduced to the Biopsychosocial model as a framework for understanding health as holistic and also learn about the complexity of individual health and the many factors that interplay to make up our general wellbeing.
Part III - Holistic Health Coaching
In the third part of the course the learner will be taught what it means to coach holistically as well as being presented with a few concrete examples of how to view specific cases from a holistic perspective.
