The course will teach the learner about healthy eating habits, disordered eating, and eating disorders.

The aim of the course is to provide the learner with holistic knowledge of promoting healthy eating and preventing disordered eating. The course aims to equip the learner with the ability to understand the concept of healthy versus disordered eating.

The course learning style is asynchronous learning, meaning the learner may learn on their own schedule, within a certain timeframe.

The content for this course was developed by the leading danish expert on eating disorders, professor and authorised clinical psychologist Mia Beck Lichtenstein.

Learning Outcomes:

Part I - The healthy eating balance
Learn about healthy eating habits, why one might have issues with eating and why it can be important and relevant to work with as an online coach.
Part II - How can you promote healthy eating habits?
Learn what you can do as a coach to promote healthy eating and body image and just as importantly what you should not do.
Part III - When eating becomes a mental problem
Learn about the symptoms of eating disorders and related problems.
Part IV - What triggers disordered eating?
Learn about predisposing factors, triggers, maintain factors and protective factors.
Part V - How can you support a client with disordered eating?
Learn different approaches to begin working with eating problems and which methods can help you identify a client's level of disordered eating.
