About me:

Maria Svan – Personal Trainer (Functional Training Specialist)

I am a personal trainer specializing in functional training, with a strong background in mind-body methods such as Asahi and Pilates-inspired exercise. My professional training as a dance-movement psychotherapist provides me with a holistic understanding of how the body and mind work together – an approach I integrate into all my coaching.

I design training programs based on comprehensive screening tests to identify weak links, improve mobility and stability, and restore balanced motor control. This foundation allows clients to move with freedom, confidence, and without unnecessary strain or pain.

I work with both everyday clients seeking a healthier, more active life, and athletes looking for targeted physical or mental performance coaching. As an opera singer myself, I also have unique insight into the physical and mental demands of performing at a high level.

In addition, I have personal experience supporting women through the physical changes of pregnancy and postpartum recovery, offering safe, effective, and compassionate guidance.
