The Professional Standards Committee (PSC) operates as an independent unit of industry representatives receiving support from EuropeActive. It's mission is to be the leading body in developing the occupations and registration of professionals of the European health and fitness sector. The day-to-day activities include developing educational standards for the European health and fitness sector and providing the credibility and recognition of this sector by ensuring high, comparable and standardised levels of education.
Both Simona and Rita have been working with the Comittee for a great number of years and have now stepped down to make way for new committee members. Julian Berriman thanked them for their hard work at the International Standards Meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark by handing them a specially-made honorary award. "Their wholly voluntary commitment and dedication to assuring the quality and relevance of the standards is hugely appreciated by EuropeActive and will positively impact on the training of fitness professionals across Europe now and, for many years to come," Julian said.
